Ada Lovelace: The first computer programmer
Did you know the first known computer programmer was a woman? Her name was Ada Lovelace, and she lived in England, where she worked as a mathematician and writer.
She is famous for working on the “Analytical Engine.”
She is believed by some to be the first to recognise that the machine had applications beyond pure calculation, and to have published the first algorithm intended to be carried out by such a machine.
